Human Resource Intern University Hospitals 283 reviews - Shaker Heights, OH Internship Description Intern will receive training on a variety of HR programs, processes, policies and related technology at University Hospitals. Intern will rotate through different functional areas of HR, and primarily perform administrative duties to support department operations. This is a PRN role scheduled for 16 - 24 hours/week. Essential Duties: * Support HR team members with the implementation of various HR initiatives and projects at the corporate level. * Assist HR team members with scanning, logging, meeting preparation and filing duties. * Assist with weekly New Hire Orientation. * Partner with Recruitment team members to learn the recruitment process from start to finish. Help staff with duties such as scheduling interviews, processing background checks, filing and the like. * May occasionally travel to local UH sites in Northeast Ohio. * Performs other duties as assigned. * This role may encounter Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. UH employees must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications Education/Expertise: * High School diploma required. Must be at least a senior level student pursuing a Bachelors degree in a related HR field. Recent Bachelors graduate preferred. Experience & Knowledge: * Previous HR or office experience in a professional work setting preferred. * Must have reliable transportation. * Must be available for work on Mondays. * Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability. * Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required. * Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required.
