    Stamford Hospital is seeking an energetic and adaptable individual to join the General Surgery Unit as a Full Time Unit Coordinator. In this role, you will provide administrative support for the unit and serve as a central contact for telephone calls and the distribution point for paperwork and test results. Responsibilities include practicing excellent customer service in greeting individuals on the unit, managing the unit’s communication systems, responding to the patient call system, preparing patient medical records, scheduling patient appointments, and ordering supplies.

    Work schedule: Evening shift, 3:00pm – 11:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and every other weekend from 7:00 am – 7:00 PM.

    Required Skills

    Required Skills:

    1. High school graduate or GED equivalent required
    2. Excellent customer service required
    3. Ability to understand and communicate medical terminology preferred
    4. Experience working in a healthcare administrative environment preferred
    5. Basic computer literacy required
