    Job Description

    Come join the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center as a Virtual Nurse Clinical Navigator, where you will have the opportunity to assist in transforming care delivery by lending your expertise and support to the frontline nursing care team and patients on the 40-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Patient education
    • Admission & Discharge Documentation
    • Medication reconciliation
    • Creation and management of care plans
    • Medication/Chemotherapy double check resource
    • Pain reassessment
    • Regulatory compliance
    • Procedural checklists
    • Leadership rounding
    • Patient experience
    • Collaboration with patients and family members

    Compensation is dependent on several factors including years of relative experience to desired role, education, and certification/licensure. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.   • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Oncology Nurse. Epic documentation proficiency.
    • Current AHA BLS certification required.
    • Must meet all unit specific certification requirements: (PALS, ACLS, NRP)
