GENERAL SUMMARY
Under moderate supervision, the Case Cart Technician will be responsible for maintaining adequate supply levels in the sterile storage area, rotating stock as appropriate, pulling case carts for the daily surgical schedule, stocking and delivering supplies required for patient care procedures. Committed to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes.
Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Serves as a mentor/preceptor for new technicians and/or students training in this area. Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties. Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to Shift Supervisor, Central Services.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have successfully completed a Central Service Technology course, be certified (provisional accepted), or have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Central Service field. If not certified at the time of hire, must obtain certification within the first year of hire. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical supplies, and basic knowledge of computers/software preferred.
