Job Description

_ This role will be for the Pediatric Testing and Infusion department. There will be CNA duties and administrative duties. Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM, no weekends, no holidays._

Under general supervision the Practice Assistant will be responsible for a variety of functions as they relate to patient referrals, patient care and medical records. Percentage of time in each function will vary according to the patient caseload for the practice.

Qualifications

1. 1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
   

2. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Nursing Assistant Certification will be accepted in lieu of the Medical Assistant course certificate.
3. Additional course work in medical terminology, data entry, and ICD-9 CM coding preferred.
4. One years experience in a managed care environment with an additional one years experience in a physician practice.
5. CPR certification is required.
