Part-time positions available in our Havre de Grace location. Licensure in social work, professional counseling, or similar field required. (LMSW/LCPC’s required; LCSW-C/LCPC-C preferred)
Providing a vast continuum of behavioral health care in our outpatient/intensive outpatient programs you will be able to thrive and grow professionally with our strong leadership team.
Our counselors/therapists act as an extension of the psychiatric provider. Regardless of the acute psychiatric treatment setting, as one of our counselors/therapists, you will work in collaboration with the behavioral health team, medical team, and community stakeholders, is responsible for completing: Psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress towards treatment goals, and crisis de-escalation.
One goal of all services facilitated by our counselors/therapists is to give psychiatric providers necessary information to finalize dispositions, as relevant to patient needs. You will work with diverse populations, age groups, and diagnoses and serve as primary educator on topics of mental illness/mental health to patients and/or family members. Responsible for facilitating patient-centered, trauma-informed brief individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy within the treatment care setting, when indicated. Initiates coordination of discharge and aftercare services, as needed.
