    Job Description

    ** General Summary**

    A Campus Relations Specialist is a key player in efforts to recruit top talent from colleges, universities, technical programs, and high schools for critical healthcare roles at the University of Maryland Medical System. This role involves building robust talent pipelines, establishing strategic partnerships, building relationships with key hiring managers and department leaders, and leading various recruitment initiatives. A Campus Relations Specialist represents the brand, cultivates an employer image as a leader in the industry, and contributes to the success of the Campus Relations program, apprenticeships, internships, externships, and diversity recruitment initiatives.

    Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

    1. Builds talent pipelines and develops recruitment strategies for sourcing talent.
    2. Represents the company to candidates, education institutions, and industry partners.
    3. Establishes strategic partnerships with leaders at the University of Maryland Medical System.
    4. Acts as an internal consultant, understanding staffing needs and providing recruiting guidance.
    5. Stays informed about industry trends and market intelligence.
    6. Executes effective Intern recruiting strategies and partner cross-functionally.
    7. Builds and maintains relationships with education institutions and their stakeholders.
    8. Executes recruiting activities such as presentations, career fairs, and workshops.
    9. Leads the development and execution of college relations strategy and recruitment action plans.
    10. Monitors and manages the annual campus recruitment budget.
    11. Implements sourcing strategies, paying attention to diversity initiatives.
    12. Coaches and guides internal hiring teams in conducting interviews.
    13. Leads focus groups and debrief sessions to review program effectiveness.
    14. Works closely with the Talent Acquisition team to enhance brand presence.
    15. Assists with recruiting-focused social media pages and campus events.
    16. Maintains a focus on the local marketplace and disseminate market intelligence.
    17. Leverages data reports and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
    18. Partners with Marketing to improve brand presence and market awareness.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Education and Experience **

    1. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, human resources, or related field is required.
    2. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in talent acquisition, human resources, education, or related field is required.
    3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other common programs.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    1. Willingness to travel up to 50% for business purposes within and out of state.
    2. Knowledge of interview techniques and experience with virtual tools.
    3. Strong customer service skills.
    4. Ability to attract and retain talent, build relationships, and lead recruitment strategies in a complex environment.
    5. Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    6. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    7. Ability to learn and utilize technologies such as MS Office products and applicant tracking systems.
    8. Ability to work with all levels of management and candidates.
    9. Ability to work independently and be trusted to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
    10. Team player mentality; ability to collaborate with others.
    11. Must be able to work with a keen sense of urgency.
    12. Adherence to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
    13. Ability to work on and close multiple assignments concurrently and in a timely manner.
