Transitional Registered Nurse (RN) Navigator, PRN
Job Description
** SUMMARY:**
Under limited supervision, the Quality Assurance Analyst will develop and provide training to new hires and current employees performing registration, admission, pre-certification and scheduling functions. Performs quality sampling and identifies, and implements quality improvement activities to address training needs and process changes to maximize efficiency. This position will be responsible for analyzing, testing, and implementation of new systems software upgrades and dictionary maintenance for Meditech’s ADM, B/AR and ARM modules. The position will serve as liaison between the Patient Access and Patient Accounting areas within PFS and between PFS and IT. Assist managers of PFS with patient accounting and patient access departmental process improvement and quality improvement activities. Educate and train computer end-users on application use and functionality. The Quality Assurance Analyst acts as a role model in the areas of professional maturity, customer service, and performance standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**
Registered Nurse license required. The candidate is preferred to have an Associates Degree in Business Management or related degree and/or a minimum of 7 years experience in hospital patient accounting or 5 years experience in hospital patient access/registration. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Must possess strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior training and/or leadership/supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of Meditech B/AR and/or ADM application preferred.
** CONDITIONS:** The new hire or transfer employee will remain within this job category for a probationary period up to six months. With a satisfactory criteria based performance evaluation, the employee will advance to a regular status employee. If the evaluation is not satisfactory, the employee will be terminated.

The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with patients, physicians, health system officials, other health system personnel and the general public is essential. Able to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
