    Job Description

    The Carruthers Clinic is currently recruiting for Mental Health Therapist to join Adult Team at the Carruthers Clinic. We are located on the Midtown campus of the University of Maryland Medical Center.

    The Carruthers Clinic is a part of a large academic Department of Psychiatry. We are committed to excellence in service, teaching and research. The clinic provides comprehensive mental health services to adults and children. These services include Diagnostic assessments and evaluations, Individual and group therapy, and medication management; delivered in person or through telehealth services.

    The adult team provides psychiatric treatment, substance abuse and case management services to adults with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses. Caseload size is approximately 65-70.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Licensure as in the state of Maryland is required. We are accepting applicants licensed as LCSW-C, LCPC or LMSW; LCSW-C is preferred.

    Candidates should have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in the treatment of mental and dual diagnosis. Candidates should have experience providing individual and group therapy and applying treatment that is person centered, trauma informed and evidenced based .
