Job Description

Under general supervision, responsible for par level inventory control, equipment, and instrument maintenance within the Surgical Services department. Follows all guidelines and purchasing practices set forth in the materials management policy and procedures.

** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years hospital inventory experience required preferably in an operating room environment.
• One year of experience with automated inventory or scheduling system preferred.
• Experience with Windows computers.
• Demonstrate ability to proficiently operate a personal computer
• Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies
• Demonstrate ability to write legibly and perform basic mathematical functions and file information accurately
• Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and hospital personnel
• Ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of patients and confidentiality of hospital and departmental documents
