    Job Description

    The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people in this position, but are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties.

    1. Develops and refines website content, proactively reaching out to marketing colleagues, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders for input.
    2. Writes, edits, proofs and fact-checks all content before publishing it to the website.
    3. Ensures all content is user-friendly and adheres to Associated Press (AP) Style guidelines, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices, and brand standards.
    4. Manages content review calendars to ensure web content is reviewed and updated on a scheduled basis.
    5. Performs quality control, addressing broken links, misspellings, accessibility issues, and other issues.
    6. Updates provider profiles within UMMS’ Find a Doctor online directory.
    7. Assists in maintaining entity YouTube channels and other third-party web functions
    8. Keeps abreast of healthcare internet trends, technology, and best practices
    9. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    1. Bachelor’s degree required in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communication or a related field preferred.
    2. A minimum of two years of experience writing and editing digital content

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    1. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    2. Familiar with Google Analytics
    3. Familiar with SEO content techniques and keyword research
    4. Sitecore and HTML experience a plus
    5. Effective verbal, writing, strategic thinking, conceptualization, presentation and facilitation skills
    6. Demonstrated ability to establish and meet deadlines and deliver results within sometimes limited time frames.
    7. Ability to work a temporary, alternative schedule when the need arises.
