    At BMC, the reliable Project Manager will be assigned to lead various projects working with internal IT departments, external BMC departments, customers, and vendors. This individual takes pride in their professionalism as they are always sharp and on point with communication regarding the project.  

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    1. Head up various projects as assigned by IT management involving large budgets, teams and business impact.
    2. Responsible for defining project scope.
    3. Developing resource requirements, risk assessments, cost benefit analysis, and project plans.
    4. Act as the central point of communication for these projects.
    5. Manage project team members, which can range from 2-20 depending on size, to ensure adequate performance and successful results of project.
    6. Managing projects and learning new skills or processes.
    7. Develop project plans, goals, and timetables.
    8. Develop timetables for development, testing and implementation.
    9. Coordinate project tasks and duties with other involved parties and departments.
    10. Produce regular communications to update all affected parties.
    11. Attend necessary training to keep PMP certification and other relevant skills current.
    12. Travel to locations and facilities as required to successfully manage assigned project.
    13. Present a professional appearance and manner.
    14. Supply a monthly update of all projects assigned
    15. Other duties as assigned by management.

     

    Required Skills

    1. Special skills required: Skilled in MS Office and related Project software. The Project Manager will be responsible for various simultaneous projects and must be well organized to keep proper focus on each. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills as well as strong organizational skills and a self-motivated approach.
    2. Special knowledge required: System and project knowledge as it relates to building materials industry. Experience and knowledge in using project management software and the development life cycle of software.
    3. Other: Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills. The Project Manager may be required to travel to support the projects.

    Required Experience

     

    1. Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting, or a business related field. PMP (project management professional) certification required. Applicable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
    2. Minimum experience required: minimum 5 years business and/or IT experience with 2-3 years in project management and demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
