Provides direct services to clients of the TMC BH Vocational Rehabilitation program (Truman Employment Service). Coordinates employment services for persons served as a part of a multidisciplinary team. Provides Job Development, Job site Training and Employment Supports. Prepares individuals for employment through individual and group interventions. Participants in the program are individuals with disabilities, many of whom have a primary or secondary diagnosis of a significant mental illness. Meets productivity standards and documentation requirements. Performs some administrative duties as assigned. Works under the regular supervision and direction of the Manager of Employment Services.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree; prefer psychology, rehabilitation, social services, social work, business administration or another closely related field.
• Must have the ability to be a self-starter and use critical thinking skills to build working relationships with potential employers.      
• Must possess strong skills in community networking .Must have two or more years experience in rehabilitation, sales, or related field.  Prefer experience working in an employment setting with persons who have a disability.
• The person should have good verbal and written communication skills. Possess a reliable vehicle, maintain a valid driver’s license and demonstrate minimum required automobile liability coverage per state law(s).      
• The person should possess the ability to work on a multi-cultured team and clients.
• A positive, energetic, enthusiastic, patient and caring attitude is essential.
