    The Partner Recruiting & Integration Assistant will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance.     As a Partner Recruiting & Integration Assistant at Latham, you will provide administrative assistance in support of the activities and processes of partner and counsel hiring and integration for the firm’s United States offices, as directed by the Partner Recruiting & Integration Manager and other department leadership as applicable, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

     

    • Providing assistance with scheduling interviews for lateral partner and counsel candidates and collating feedback.
    • Preparing initial drafts of correspondence to lateral partner and counsel candidates to confirm interview dates and times and other related logistics.
    • Booking conference rooms and videoconference (e.g., Zoom, WebEx) links as needed for interviews.
    • Liaising with the travel department to coordinate flight, hotel, and other necessary travel arrangements.
    • Helping maintain candidate databases.
    • Assisting with scheduling internal meetings as needed.
    • Assisting with processing candidate reimbursements.
    • Providing support for special projects as needed.
    • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co- workers.

     

    As a Partner Recruiting & Integration Assistant you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Assistant must have strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadlines, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines. An ideal candidate will display exceptional judgment with the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion. The successful Assistant must have the ability to identify complex issues and escalate as appropriate, with well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with a customer service focus, and be able to support interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. The successful Assistant must have the ability to develop strong knowledge of Firm resources, policies and procedures and a deep understanding of firm culture, sensitivity to the needs of diverse and multicultural constituencies, and strong computer and technical skills, including MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

     

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of administrative or professional office experience is preferred.
