    THE PAYMENT SOLUTIONS MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STRATEGY, ENHANCEMENT, AND SUPPORT OF THE CREDIT UNION’S OVERALL PAYMENTS EXPERIENCE. THIS INCLUDES THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF HIGH RISK AND CRITICAL PAYMENTS PROCESSING AND DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS PROCESSING TO ENSURE TIMELY AND ACCURATE PROCESSING OF ACH, WIRE TRANSFERS, SHARE DRAFTS, RETURN DEPOSIT ITEMS, DEBIT/CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS AND EMERGING PAYMENTS. THE PAYMENT SOLUTIONS MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL PLANNING, OPERATING CONTROL, REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS, INDUSTRY STANDARDS AND RISK MANAGEMENT FOR THE PAYMENT SOLUTIONS DEPARTMENT. ADDITIONALLY, THIS LEADER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTINUED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE PAYMENT SOLUTIONS TEAM AND SUPPORTING OUR CULTURE WITHIN THEIR ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT.

    Develops strategies, budgets, business cases and success measurements for the Payment Solutions area to provide for service-oriented, accurate, yet cost-effective operations. Monitors progress, processes and results and is accountable for executing business plans and achieving desired results. (30%)

    Oversees all operations of the Payment Solutions Department. (20%)

    • Maximizes processing and uptime of all electronic debit card and credit card services for the Credit Union.
    • Maintains knowledge over different types of payment systems and card fraud to provide recommendations to minimize losses.
    • Maintains a strong internal control environment and monitors the processes and procedures for the high risk and critical functions related to ACH, share drafts, wire transfers, returned deposit items, Regulation E, debit/credit card transactions.
    • Proposes and implements changes to related management practices, policies and procedures.

    Provides oversight and ongoing support for talent management in the assigned area by providing one on one coaching and guidance to Partners to enable them to achieve extraordinary performance. Hires, supervises, coaches, develops and regularly reviews the performance of direct reports. (20%)

    Maintain industry knowledge of ACH, wire transfer, share draft, and other processes related to Payment Solutions, including Card Processing and NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines. Stay abreast of industry best practices to facilitate transformational changes within Payment Solutions s and deliver innovative services through strategic partnerships with stakeholders. (10%)

    Manages vendor relationships related to areas of responsibility. Reviews and participates in the negotiation of vendor contracts; and assures vendors comply with regulatory and service level agreements. (10%)

    Ensure assigned business units are operating efficiently and reliably, are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules, have appropriate operating controls to mitigate risk, and are performing at a high level. (10%)

    Required Skills

    The Payment Solutions Manager must possess a high degree of working and technical knowledge in the areas of plastic cards, electronic transactions, regulatory compliance, and problem solving skills. The following are also required:

    1. A Bachelor Degree in business preferred.
    2. Previous experience in the Cards industry and NACHA experience is preferred.
    3. Certified AAP (ACH Accredited Professional) preferred. Must be attained within six months of attaining position. Must maintain certification as an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) via third party ACH vendor.
    4. Five years previous leadership or supervisory experience.
    5. Experience with cards, emerging technologies, ACH, Payroll, wires, share drafts, and customer service.
    6. Demonstrated ability to analyze, reason, problem solve, and prioritize work independently.
    7. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and meet deadlines while applying detail-oriented work habits.
    8. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations/laws as they pertain to ACH, Wires, and Share Drafts and ability to adhere to them.
    9. Ability to learn computer applications and apply them to the operational processes.
    10. Detailed problem solving and error resolution skills.
    11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    12. Demonstrated working knowledge with Microsoft Office products.
