The person hired will be working initially in our Outpatient and Sports PT department at Medical Plaza Miller in Winston-Salem until the expansion and construction has been completed at Stratford, which is estimated to occur in the second quarter of 2019. The PT will be part of a team that sees a variety of Sports Medicine Patients and some general orthopedic patients with the primary patient's population being athletes of all ages. There is a heavy focus on High School athletes and youth athletes, but Sports medicine patients of all ages are also seen at Stratford Sports PT. Qualified applicants will possess strong communication and patient management skills, as well as a strong desire to participate in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary team planning. >2 years' experience with Sports Medicine and outpatient patients preferred, and/or APTA credentialed Fellowship in Sports PT. Current BLS for health Care providers required. Job Summary: Provides comprehensive therapeutic patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult patients to ensure positive patient outcomes. Educates the patent, significant others, and other health care providers to assure continuity of the patient care plan. Interacts with other departments and members of the medical team in developing and implementing interdisciplinary patient care plans to ensure comprehensive medical care. Supervises physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students to develop their clinical skills and ensure the delivery of quality patient care. Education / Experience: * B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from accredited physical therapy school. * Previous hospital experience preferred . Licensure, Certification and / or Registration: * Current licensure in the state of North Carolina. * CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.
