One of WellStars Senior Living Communities, we are located in Historic Marietta, Georgia, just minutes north of Atlanta on the campus of Kennestone Regional Medical Center. Opened in 1988, Atherton Place was one of the first independent living centers associated with a hospital in Georgia, and the first in Cobb County. It still is one of the few in the Southeast with a major health system affiliation. Our facility offers multiple levels of care, from independent to advanced care for seniors with memory needs. Responsibilities Hairstylist at Atherton Place Performs hairstylist and cosmetology functions, including sets, shampoo, permanents, and styling professionally and with excellent customer service. Responds to Residents daily needs and preferences; provides appropriate services to senior customers; assists coordinator with all related hair salon duties. Provides hair care support Performs sets as requested Performs shampoos as requested Performs permanents as requested Performs haircuts as requested Performs styling requestProvides manicure support Trims nails as requested Paints nails as requested Performs proper scheduling and billing functions Properly bills for all services and completes all appropriate paperwork Properly directs all cash/check payments to front desk Assists Hair Salon Coordinator with financial support for Operations Manager Schedules appointments effectively, working around resident schedules as is possible Performs appropriate cleaning functions Keeps a clean and sanitary station area, including equipment and toolsAssists to assure the total hair salon is kept clean and is totally cleaned after daily work is done. Qualifications Required Minimum Education: Masters of Cosmetology and Licensed Hairstylist.High School Degree/equiv. required. Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Cosmetology License Required Minimum Experience: 3-5 years required; experience with seniors preferred. Experience with manicures preferred. Required Minimum Skills: Customer Service and communication skills a must; business skills preferred.
