Responsibilities The Vinings Health Park Surgery Center is currently seeking an RN Circulator for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Functioning under the direction of the Department Manager and Clinical Coordinator, the Operating Room Nurse i is responsible for: Implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience Providing patient care with an understanding and awareness of the patient's age specific, biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs Delivering patient care in complex situations Act as a role model and team leader, coordinating activities and staff development within his/her practice setting Demonstrates proficiency to circulate during procedures such as femoral artery bypass, atrial venous fistula, atrial venous graphs, amputations with vascular interventions, carotid endarectomy, aortic aneurysms endograph, renal bypass, carotid bypass, open aneurysms and major interventional procedures and emergency procedures Qualifications Required Minimum Education : Graduate of an accredited/approved School of Nursing and holds a current license in the State of Georgia. BSN preferred. National certification in the area of specialty. Current CPR/BLS required. ACLS within one (1) year of hire required. Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia; Current Americal Heart Association CPR/BLS required. AMA ACLS within one (1) year of hire required. Required Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of operating room experience for similar patient population. Required Minimum Skills : Ability to read, write and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills; Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills required; Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner; Possess excellent time management skills; practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills.
