    Reinsurance Internship- Willis Re San Francisco Date Posted: November 8, 2018 - JOB DESCRIPTION Summary: The Willis Re Internship Program aims to provide Interns with a meaningful professional/educational experience and an opportunity to evidence their skills and capabilities. Through participation in this 10/12 week program, Interns will be provided a broad-based introduction to the reinsurance sector of the insurance industry through a wide range of activities including the following: On-the-job Training (including, but not limited to, data analysis, preparation and dissemination of client information to reinsurers, special projects, etc.)Technical learning through Willis Re Academy courses; and, Departmental Overviews with Contracts, Catastrophe Analytics, Actuarial, Financial Advisory, Segments, Operations, and the Willis Re Academy. The Role: Investment, Risk and Reinsurance Our sophisticated approach to risk helps clients free up capital. We work in close concert with investors, reinsurers, and insurers to manage the equation between risk and return. Blending advanced analytics with deep institutional knowledge, we reveal new opportunities to maximize performance. The Responsibilities: - Create spreadsheets and provide data analysis, as requested - Generate PowerPoint Presentations for meetings with clients and prospects and make sure that they are Willis Re Brand compliant - Work with Broking and Analytical teams (Catastrophe Analytics, Actuarial, Financial Advisory, etc.) as applicable - Complete Willis Re system entries and ensure accuracy of such - Complete projects as assigned, which may include but are not limited to: data modeling and analysis, industry research, RFPs and other various topics. The Requirements - Working towards a Bachelors Degree from a Four-Year College or University (rising Juniors, or rising Seniors) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 - Diverse, well-rounded background - Ability to Apply Basic Mathematical Concepts - Higher Quantitative Skills a Plus - Excellent Work Ethic and Organizational Skills - Strong Interpersonal Skills and Team Orientation - Innovative Thinker and Creative Problem Solver - Highly Motivated and Takes Initiative - Solid Written and Verbal Communication Skills - Proven Public Speaking and Presentation Skills a Plus - Proficient with Information Technology, particularly Microsoft Office Products.
