Pharmacy Hotline Tech - Pharmacy Hotline - 17th Street
PURPOSE:
Accepts, verifies and processes medication refills via EMR, fax, voicemail and phone.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with individual providers and nurses to process refill requests in the most efficient manner possible.
Monitor patient assistance program, inventory medications and assist patients with program certifications.
Performs data entry
Refills protocol medications
Retrieves calls from voicemail and pharmacy voice recorder
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC
Demonstrates ability to transcribe medication dosage and quantity accurately into EMR system.
Adheres to hotline and other routine refills@ policy (3.7.9.1).
Understands policy regarding ordering of controlled/schedule drugs.
Cross-trained to cover in Med Room if needed.
