    HIRING SALARY:  $40,324 - $44,182.80 annually; salary calculations start at the minimum salary

     

    HOURS:                 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., Monday – Friday

    MAJOR FUNCTION: The Project Coordinator for TCC Spark! Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development is housed within the Division of Workforce Development and reports directly to the Vice President. The Project Coordinator, in partnership with the Vice President for Workforce Innovation will serve as the liaison between the College and First Commerce as it pertains to establishing and maintaining ongoing communication with First Commerce and its leadership. This position will develop joint marketing and engagement strategies to support planned events and training. Design and implement programming for supporting prospective, current and former TCC student entrepreneurs.  Build partnerships with other community organizations to support in content delivery and recruitment. This position will recruit volunteers and facilitators needed for delivery of the program’s content. Develop and implement an outreach plan for engaging the communities that makeup the service area.  Identify and maintain an ongoing list of resources that strengthen entrepreneurs. Produce reports regarding initiative outcomes.  Serve on the Workforce Development Standing Committee to ensure ongoing alignment with the TCC Spark Initiative.

     

    MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and three years of relevant experience working with entrepreneurs, startups and small-medium enterprises.  Preference given for: demonstrated track-record of leadership and high-achievement; experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment; marketing experience.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  External entrepreneurial ecosystem comprised of business, economic development, government and secondary and post-secondary partners. Entrepreneurial resources. Marketing and engagement strategies. Communities that makeup the services area. Organizational and interpersonal skills to lead and facilitate partnership activities with students, community groups, and colleagues within the college. Effective team member, flexible, with strong human relations skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Be self-motivated, self-directed and creative. Strong project management and organization skills. Keen aptitude for accurate, highly detailed, analytical skills. Mentor, coach or train individuals in business concepts (business plan development). Develop and implement strategies to Market events and recruit participants for programs. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite. Work independently and on a team.  Build partnerships and deliver collaborative programming.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
    • 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Demonstrated proficiency in LaTeX, Doxygen, Sphinx
    • Desired proficiency Automated Document Construction and Document Templating Systems
