    CO-OP/INTERN PRODUCTION PLANNER POSITION

     

    The Production Planner Co-op/Intern is responsible to help plan and execute production requirements to meet on-time delivery schedules. This individual is responsible to assist in all material requirements within the production cell which includes production prioritization, WIP and cost management; expediting and communicating material availability requirements.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

    • Helping to develop planning parameters within the Master business system for the production cell.
    • Timely release and completion of Work Orders to support the Master Build Plan (ship schedule) & customer delivery commitments.
    • Helping to manage and communicate the WIP priorities to support capacity constraints and on-time delivery.
    • Working to analyze Work Order cost variances with timely resolution.
    • Helping in the monitoring and maintaining the integrity of WIP inventory.
    • Working to help expedite and communicate component shortages to resolve material availability constraints.
    • Helping to communicate Engineering activity within the production cell.
    • Helping to perform material analysis using advance planning systems for expedited delivery requests.
    • Familiarize and follow all documented procedures and make recommendations to improve processes.
    • Develop and communicate reports as required.

    COMPETENCIES:

    Self-motivated individual with undergraduate status in Business, Engineering or Accounting.

     

    Possesses competency and skills normal used in academic activity (Word, Excel, Office suite etc)  Communicates clearly and concisely in e-mail and IM communication. Team player able to seamlessly transition workload from shift to shift.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Processes all pre-certs and prior authorizations within 48 hours for evaluate and treats.
    2. Processes all surgeries and procedures five days prior to appointment.
    3. Completes all retro requests within five days.
    4. Processes all mail and correspondence on a daily basis.
    5. Copies monthly Medicaid enrollment for all locations by the fifth of each month.
    6. Maintains up-to-date information re: managed care plans. Distributes necessary updates to staff/management.
