    Job Description

    The Technical Sales Manager will participate in technical sales activities mainly for the Korean market and other APAC market customers. The Technical Sales Manager will mainly handle the large existing accounts and new potential clients, especially to support them to manage their technical needs along with their business needs. The Technical Sales Manager should be detail orientated, fluent in English, technically savvy, self-motivated, and have the ability to learn complex systems quickly.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture and hardware and software interaction

    • Responsible for sales of company’s products and services.

    • Keeping close contact and follow up with customers for their engineering and business related needs.

    • Manage customer expectations on both technical and business needs and requests.

    • Work with internal resources to meet customer expectations.

    • Generate leads from tradeshows and regional networking events.

    • Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention.

    • Create and develop customer sales proposals, pricing quotes, and bid support.

    • Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with key customers and technical contacts within specified assignments and territories.

    • Coordinate and lead conference calls with internal team members and external business partners to solve customer issues, requests and leads on a potential customer and/or sale.

    • Keep updated on product and industry knowledge to communicate regularly with senior management with new business updates and related activities, including trends, competition, and sales initiatives

    •  Other duties as assigned.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Self-starter; motivated, team focused, customer facing, and results driven.

    • Highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware, and software interaction.

    • Application Development experience is a plus (C++ and/or Linux)

    • Familiarity with terrestrial and satellite networks.

    • Experience with M2M modems using 2G/3G/LTE communication.

    • High analytic skills and out-of-the-box thinker.

    • Self-motivated, driven and committed to exceed customer expectations.

    • 5 years plus of customer support and relationship management.

    • Comfortable discussing a wide array of products and technologies, and at ease interacting with highly trained technology professionals.

    • Great communication skills with superior listening skills.

    • Developed problem-solving and negotiation skills.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    • Strong ability to remain positive and optimistic in high pressure situations.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience as a customer support engineer including software and hardware trouble shooting.

    • Engineering degree of 4 years, graduate degree a plus.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Proficient in both English and Korean.

    TRAVEL:

    The position requires up to 15% overseas travel.
