POSITION SUMMARY

The preCARDIA Team is focused on rapidly developing a novel treatment for patients experiencing heart failure. Our team is leading the development of the entire preCARDIA system including:

• Balloon Catheter and Accessories
• Access and repositioning sheaths
• On-board sensors / intelligence
• Console, UI, and System performance
• Clinical best practices, training, and user

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support development of catheter, accessories, and preCARDIA system
• Assist in the design of components/fixtures.
• Conduct engineering tests for design improvement.
• Provide input into design and design improvements.
• Conduct failure analyses under mentorship of senior engineering staff
• Analyze data and present results to larger Engineering team

REQUIREMENTS

• Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, or directly related discipline.
• Strong design, testing, and analytical skills required (e.g. engineering and statistical analysis)
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with machining and/or 3D printing is a plus.
