    Job Description

    We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and professional Cashier to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cash operations, supporting interdepartmental financial procedures, and ensuring accurate transaction processing. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all monetary activities across the resort—including the front desk, retail, and food & beverage outlets—are accurate, secure, and compliant with financial policies.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Issue receipts, refunds, change, and tickets as required.
    • Balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies at the beginning and end of shifts.
    • Maintain and operate cash recyclers (including ordering cash and adding/removing users).
    • Track and reconcile petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and circulation of the daily petty cash report.
    • Process Brinks deposits, manual drops, and checks.
    • Monitor and report Over & Short transactions for the front desk and F&B outlets.
    • Submit payroll deductions for shortages via TMS.
    • Retrieve and submit credit card receipts for chargeback claims.
    • Assist outlet management with credit or refund discrepancies.
    • Organize and report Intercompany activity by GL code and update billing spreadsheets for month-end reconciliation.
    • Research and resolve credit card balancing variances.
    • Allocate F&B invoices to correct departments and ensure timely processing.
    • Collect, deposit, and verify cash received.
    • Participate in daily safe counts and bank reconciliation activities.
    • Meet with Brinks for change orders. Need to lift up to 25lbs with coin orders.
    • Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and secure handling of all cash assets.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Additional training or coursework in bookkeeping or basic accounting preferred.
    • Previous cashier experience, ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment.
    • Hospitality or timeshare experience is a plus.

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Able to manage time effectively to meet financial reporting deadlines.
    • Strong cash handling and mathematical skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software with an emphasis on Excel.
    • Entry-level familiarity with accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
    • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
    • High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to manage tasks independently and within a team.

    Work Environment:

    • Based in the resort’s lobby/front desk area with regular interaction across departments.
    • Business casual attire required, with a professional demeanor.
    • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
