    Accounts Payable Clerk

    We are an upscale retail business with three popular stores in the Bay Area seeking a full-time accounts payable clerk to work from our Oakland office.

    Successful applicants will have 2+ years of experience working with Quickbooks Enterprise, A/P statement reconciliation, effective vendor communications and solving routine payment issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Process A/P on a weekly basis from 3 business units.
    • Ensure that proper payment approvals have been obtained and enter payment details into Quickbooks Enterprise to print checks for signature by management.
    • Scan signed checks and associated backup to secure cloud storage system.
    • Reconcile statements from vendors.
    • Reconcile bank statements.
    • Maintain a vendor database.
    • Filing and organization of financial reports and records.
    • Contact vendors with questions or concerns about invoicing or billing.
    • Use equipment only as intended and required.

    Requirements

    • 1-3 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk, AP Specialist or AP Clerk, preferably in a retail cannabis environment.
    • Previous experience in accounting, finance or bookkeeping.
    • Working knowledge of various accounting systems.
    • Advanced experience with QB Enterprise, POS software, Excel, Google Suite. Applicant will be tested for skill level.
    • Background check (after offer of employment made).
    • High school diploma or GED. College degree preferred.

    Pay range: $25 - $32

    (D) You have or had parent, sibling, or child, who during the period 1971-2016, was arrested for, convicted of, or adjudged to be a ward of the juvenile court for any crime under the laws of California or any other jurisdiction relating to the sale, possession, use, manufacture, or cultivation of Cannabis;

    (E) You attended a school under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco or Oakland Unified School District for five years, either consecutively or in total, during the period 1971-2016; or

    (F) During the period of 1971-2016, you lived for at least five years, either consecutively or in total, in San Francisco or Oakland census tracts where at least 17% of the households had incomes at or below the federal poverty level, as determined by the Director.
