All About Kids was founded by Cathy Grossfeld in 1988, later joined by her husband Michael who are both New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and have over 60 years of combined experience in providing and administering services for children with developmental delays.

For over 30 years, All About Kids has provided evaluations, individual and group therapy services, consultations, and service coordination for children. All About Kids' comprehensive offering of services and programs addresses all facets of a child's development and allows for better team coordinated and individualized treatment. We provide early intervention, preschool, school age, and autism services privately as well as through the New York State public funded EI, CPSE, and District CSE programs including the NYCDOE. We are proud of our history of 30 years of outstanding program and fiscal audit reviews.

OVERVIEW

We have an immediate opening for a Teacher's Assistant (TA) position for our office located in Queens, NY. This is a fast-paced environment and requires a high level of energy and the ability to multitask. The (TA) is responsible for directly working one to one with a student on their IFSP goals using Discreet Trial Teaching and following the class routine.  This position assists with the implementation of the student's goals and integrating the child in a social setting with peers. The TA takes direction directly from the classroom teacher using ABA strategies and techniques.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in the planning and implementation of group and individual activities during each session
• Follow ABA educational programs as designed by the group teacher
• Follow assigned schedule working as 1:1 or 1:2
• Collect and graph data daily
• Participate in meetings and training's
• Assist in the set up and clean up for each group session
• Clean used and unused material daily
• Interact with family members, caregivers, and outside providers
• Assist in writing daily log notes
• Be punctual, professional, and organized
• Follow directions of teacher and work as a team

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. It is a requirement of this position to lift document files and other objects up to 20 lbs
