Job Details - Description The Allegiant Flight Operations Intern
position offers a challenging experience to aviation students. Flight
Operations Interns gain an opportunity to observe and learn, by a
hands-on experience with the daily activities of a Part 121 Air Carrier.
Flight Operations Interns will be able to shadow many flight operations
personnel and have the opportunity to interact with many departments at
Allegiant, including: Flights Operations, Flight Training, Flight
Operations Standards/Safety, Fleet Managers, Systems Operational
Control, Crew Services, Stations and Maintenance. What are some of the
daily duties of a Flight Ops Intern? - Assist with special projects in
flight related departments - Assist with the development of
communications - Assist in developing Flight Operations related manuals
- Compile and update reports, graphs, and other presentations -
Inter-departmental duties as assigned - Observe the coordination between
the Flight Crew, the In-Flight Crew, and the Ground Crew - Perform entry
level flight related duties - Perform flight safety data analysis -
Process requests from other departments - Read and process safety
reports - Other duties as assigned What are the minimum requirements to
be a Flight Operations Intern? - Must be enrolled in or have recently
graduated in the past 12 months from an accredited college or university
- Junior or Senior accreditation towards a Bachelor of Science in
Aeronautical Science with Airline Area of Concentration or other
Aviation Program, pilot concentration preferred - Must have at least a
2.75 GPA or higher - Be computer literate and proficient in utilizing MS
Word and Excel programs - Must pass a complete background check and
pre-employment drug screen - Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986 Term of Internship: - Exact
dates to be determined; 3-6 months long depending on availability -
Interns may work 20-40 hours per week - Internship will be paid at $15
per hour - Interns, their spouse, parents, domestic partner, or travel
companion & any eligible unmarried dependent children under the age of
21, of the intern will receive unlimited, space available, individual
flight privileges on Allegiant Air (all fees waived) for the term of the
