You will be reporting directly to the Specialists Associates and supporting our team in ensuring the success of our auctions platform by researching, cataloguing, and assessing artworks for sale. Responsibilities: * Assist specialists and associates in cataloguing lots for auction * Thoroughly research artists and artworks, and write detailed lot descriptions * Assist specialists and associates in assessing artwork condition and value * Photograph artworks and lightly retouch images in Photoshop * Work with administrators on any pre- and post-sale client needs Qualifications: * Pursuing BA or higher in art history, English, or a related field * Background in art or art history * Knowledgeable in modern and contemporary art * Exceptional writing and research skills * Highly organized and able to balance multiple deadlines * Ability to meet goals quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Must be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated * Comfortable with the PC platform, Microsoft Office, and data entry * Photoshop skills a plus, specifically light editing (e.g. correcting camera distortion, color correction) * Foreign language skills a plus If you have the right combination of skills and experience and want to be a part of a dynamic, innovative company, please apply with your cover letter and resume.
