    Overview

Our client is a long-term holding company investing in the acquisition of swimming pool companies across the United States.

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to help oversee one of our client’s two locations in Southwest Ohio, primarily based at the Norton facility (4953 W Wooster Rd, Norton, OH). This individual will report directly to the General Manager, who has overall responsibility for both locations, and will play a key role in supporting day-to-day business operations, staff development, and customer relationships.

The AGM will act as the on-site leader for the Akron area location, ensuring smooth operations and providing continuity while the GM focuses across both facilities.

    You Will Be Responsible For…

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support the General Manager in executing the overall business strategy and operational objectives.

    • Oversee daily operations of the Akron-area location, including scheduling, staffing, facilities, and customer service.

    • Supervise and support frontline staff, ensuring they have the tools, training, and guidance needed to succeed.

    • Collaborate with the GM and leadership team to implement operational improvements and growth initiatives.

    • Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new team members in collaboration with Human Resources.

    • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet business needs and adjust schedules as required.

    • Ensure a positive, safe, and compliant work environment.

    • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

    • Act as a problem solver for on-site issues, escalating more complex matters to the GM when necessary.

    • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff.

    About You

    • You are excited about contributing to a growing organization and being part of a culture built on relationships, dignity, and long-term success.

    • You thrive on keeping operations running smoothly and enjoy leading from the front.

    • You’re detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated by creating structure and solving day-to-day challenges.

    • You want to live in or near Norton, OH, to be closely tied to the team and location you’ll support.

    What You Have

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in business, operations, or management.

    • 3–5 years of leadership experience in a service, construction, or operations-related industry.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

    • Experience supervising teams and motivating employees.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, customers, and leadership.

    • A collaborative, team-first approach with the ability to take initiative when needed.

    • Valid State Driver’s License.

    Summary

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants to grow with a company that is expanding nationwide.
