Nutrition Intern Camp Shane Camp Shane, LLC - Orlando, FL Internship Nutrition Intern Camp Shane Camp Shane is a residential summer camp that specializes in weight loss for children, teens, and young adults. We provide all the fun of a traditional summer camp with the benefits of nutrition education, healthy cooking classes, and physical fitness activities. Camp is located on beautiful Melbourne Coast. We are hosted at the Florida Institute of Technology just over an hour south of Orlando. We are seeking a junior or senior level nutrition or dietetics student to serve as our nutrition specialist and camp counselor this summer. We provide living accommodations, all meals, as well a stipend. This position can be used to complete internship hours if needed. The employment period, including a required orientation, runs from May 30th thru July 15th, 2018. We have several RDs on staff in NY to orient you and answer any questions you might have during the summer. We also provide a complete and clear manual that contains lesson plans and procedures. The nutrition intern will be responsible for completing camper weigh-ins to monitor weight loss progress. They will also lead nutrition classes and healthy cooking classes, monitor and assist in the camp dining hall to ensure all allergies and dietary needs are being accommodated, and create content for our nutrition blog.
