    ? 2019 Legal Summer InternJob Function LegalPosition Type InternshipsCity AtlantaRequisition ID 2018-6292 Overview The Chick-fil-A Summer Internship Program offers students 10 weeks of meaningful work experience within functional departments, plus exposure to corporate culture, diverse learning opportunities, and cross-functional project work. The 2019 program will employ approximately 65 students across the company. Interns will have the opportunity to actively learn through real-world projects derived from our real-time business needs. In addition to departmental project time, interns experience learning sessions with company executives, participate in cross-functional teams concluding in group presentations, and experience off-campus travel to discover corporate history and culture. All Chick-fil-A internships are based in our Atlanta Support Center. Responsibilities Work with the Legal Department team on a wide variety of legal matters and disciplines including, but not limited to: Litigation/Pre-Litigation; Labor & Employment; Contracts; Real Estate Acquisition and Development; Leasing; Regulatory Issues; Franchising; Marketing; Intellectual Property; Licensing; and Non-Profit related matters.Work with in-house lawyers to solve problems, assess risks and devise strategies, and then communicate the same internally.Work with in-house lawyers to communicate with and manage outside legal counsel. Draft documents and conduct research related to several legal disciplines.Attend meetings with business contacts pertaining to legal and business issues arising from all areas of the Chick-fil-A business, including, but not limited to, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources, Real Estate, Design & Construction and Purchasing. Potentially attend outside seminars and other business-related events, including events coordinated through the Chick-fil-A Summer Internship Program. Minimum Qualifications Must have completed 1st year of law school by Summer 2019 and have a history of academic excellence. Must possess core behaviors/skills of: Problem Solving, Integrity, Communication Skills, Ability to Work Independently, Positive Peer Relationships, and Quick & Versatile Learning. Preferred Qualifications Have a demonstrated track record on leadership and academic excellence, including top 25% of class. Required Level of Education Bachelor's Degree Major/Concentration Current 1L Students Pursuing JD at an Accredited Law School Minimum GPA (4.0 Scale) 3.0
