    Job Description

    Directly supervises employees in the Engineering department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    As a Maintenance Manager, you will:

    • Execute the strategic vision and direction for the Engineering department, aligning with the resort's overall goals and objectives
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence while enforcing accountability
    • Implement, train, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employees
    • Assist in managing the Engineering Department’s budget, reserves and capital expenditures, P&L reviews, and forecasting expenses
    • Participate in the development and management of maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to optimize the department’s efficiency
    • Support the planning and execution of major capital improvement projects, from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvement
    • Liaison with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate efficient and cost-effective maintenance operations
    • Manage the procurement and inventory of all tools and materials purchased and/or assigned to the Engineering Department
    • Develop documents using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
    • Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal communications

    Qualifications

    • Valid state Driver’s License
    • At least 3 years of leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor weather conditions
