Job Description
Support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders.
As an Engineering Technician III, you will:
- Perform and lead engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and proper operation of MEP systems following resort guidelines
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of HVAC and mechanical components
- Diagnose plumbing fixtures, handle clogs, and conduct repairs and equipment replacements
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, such as breakers and contactors
- Repair and troubleshoot appliances and household fixtures
- Install, repair, and replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as needed
- Lead small construction projects, including drywall, carpentry, concrete, and flooring
- Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and maintenance of all MEP equipment
- Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work
- Proficient in operating resort operations software and devices (HotSOS and other applicable systems)
- Read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and OEM manuals
- Communicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools needed for the job
- Work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Lead and implement safety practices and guidelines
- Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property
- Communicate and interpret guest needs with positive interactions to reach resolutions
- Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures
- Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior
- Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership
