  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Directs institutional housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

    • Direct and manage all housekeeping operations to ensure exceptional cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation throughout the resort.
    • Oversee daily assignments, inspections, and scheduling of housekeeping, laundry, and public area teams, and monitor guest rooms' readiness for arrivals, departures, and owner stays.
    • Lead, coach, mentor, and train supervisors and line staff to achieve departmental goals, maintain high morale, and deliver consistent service excellence.
    • Implement, maintain, and monitor cleaning procedures to meet brand, health, and safety standards; ensure compliance with all resort, brand, and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage inventories, cost controls, staffing levels, and departmental budgets to maximize operational efficiency and profitability.
    • Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and Operations teams to coordinate preventive maintenance, deep cleans, refurbishments, and anticipate guest and owner needs.
    • Respond promptly to guest and owner inquiries or complaints, ensuring service recovery and adherence to resort standards.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, safety training, and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently.
    • Continuously monitor quality assurance metrics, cleanliness scores, and online reviews, implementing strategies for improvement.
    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the department.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proven track record leading a hotel housekeeping team in a large resort property of 800+ rooms for 2–3 years.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and operational skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
    • Flexible schedule with availability 7 days per week, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
    • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field preferred
    • Minimum hospitality leadership training or supervisory coursework preferred
