    Falcon’s is not your standard, run-of-the-mill studio. We design and create never-before-seen experiences for global audiences and varied demographics. Our passionate, seasoned game designer will be trusted to help craft the vision for exciting, interactives experiences that guests will enjoy at world-class entertainment destinations. 

    This job is based in Orlando, Florida. Applicant must either live in the area or be willing to move to Central Florida and work from the office daily.

    Essential Functions:

    • Generate ideas for new games and pitch concepts.

    • Design the user experience from scratch.

    • Write game design documents and iterate as required throughout production.

    • Identify opportunities for unique player interactions.

    • Develop plots, characters, storylines, and player objectives.

    • Work with writers to fully realize the vision of the experience.

    • Create UI mockups.

    • Use wireframes and other tools to clearly define the user experience. 

    • Help test the games you design.

    • Maintain a great working relationship with supervisors, artists, and programmers.

     

    Job Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Minimum of three years’ experience in a professional gaming studio is required. 

    • Experience as a game designer on at least one shipped AAA title is a must. 

    • Experience writing GDDs.

    • Eagerness to iterate after receiving constructive feedback.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

    • Knowledge of gaming trends and a love for all or most genres of games.

    • Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time.

    • Functional knowledge of how games are made and programmed.

    • Adept problem solver and great collaborator.

    • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.

    • Full understanding of gameplay mechanics and alternative methods for user interaction.

    • Ability to learn and understand Falcon’s proprietary technologies and attraction systems.

    • Experience working in Unreal is a bonus.

    • Being a visual storyteller is a bonus.

    • Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.

    • Must possess a valid driver's license.

    • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
