Manages maintenance activities for the upkeep of attractions | | and their associated systems. Oversees a range of custodial and | | maintenance activities. Resolves problems as they arise whether directly | | or by assembling teams to solve those issues. | | | | Provides technical guidance for: Audio, Special Effects, Projection, | | Lighting, Set/Scenic, Props, Show Action Equipment, Ride Mechanical | | Systems, Ride Control and Show Control Systems. | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | · Promotes and enforces the Katmandu DNA in every aspect of the | | Park, be it front or back of house, ensuring that the Katmandu culture | | becomes a part of the employees’ day to day routine. | | | | · Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of and | | enforce company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies | | and procedures. | | | | - Coordinate maintenance worker efforts to make sure company property | | like buildings, grounds and attractions are always in pristine and | | operating condition. | | | | - Coordinates and assigns technicians to set up, install, repair, and | | maintain all equipment and venue technical processes. Ensures Ride | | and Attraction readiness to open on time. | | | | - Ensures all Ride & Attraction equipment is maintained in accordance | | with company and manufacturer Policies, practices and standards. | | | | - Have firm knowledge of Attraction and Equipment maintenance manuals. | | | | - Conducts regular scheduled shift meetings with the Technicians: | | | | - Direct and confirm work assignments & emphasis to address issues | | | | - Review and communicate safety requirements and practices. Ensure | | training assignments are completed | | | | - Share relevant business, guest, and employee news | | | | - Recognize positive behaviors | | | | - Give timely and constructive feedback to improve performance | | | | · Provides technical guidance and mentoring as required to Ride | | & Attraction Technicians within the day-to-day maintenance activities in | | the field. Builds strong team cohesion and motivation within the | | Technical Services Team. | | | | · Confirms maintenance activities are executed professionally, | | with Ride and Attraction areas and components maintained in a neat and | | workmanlike manner per company and manufacturer | | guidelines/recommendations. | | | | · Responds to major Ride & Attraction issues immediately. | | Escalate communications to the appropriate Manager when there is a | | significant safety issue, delay, failure or injury. Determine root cause | | of issues. Develop and manage timely solutions. Communicates significant | | expenses and risk. | | | | · Ensures the proper completion of documentation, including: | | Work Orders, Compliance, Injury and Illness Reports, Equipment Readiness | | reports, Housekeeping inspections, etc. | | | | · Oversees technical interaction with Non-Ride Personnel, | | Vendors, Sub-contractors, Engineers and other relevant 3rd person | | parties involved with Show and Ride Systems. Insures a clear line of | | communication regarding any maintenance activities. | | | | · Confirms appropriate labor levels with Managers. Addresses | | unplanned overtime. | | | | · Plans and implements action plans for the department’s future | | success including training programs, workforce planning. | | | | · Ensures employees understand and follow all company policies | | and procedures. Observes employee conduct and communicates to the | | Managers both positive and negative behaviors. | | | | · Model a positive work approach with our employees, partners | | and clients. | | | | - Identify areas for improvement and assign workers to take care | | of issues. | | | | - Develop maintenance schedules in accordance with manufacturer’s | | recommendations and enforce them among maintenance staff. | | | | - Maintains communications lines with manufacturers to ensure any | | updates or Technical Services Bulletins are acted upon | | and documented. | | | | - Ensure any government required inspections or procedures are carried | | out and documented as may be necessary. | | | | - Ensure maintenance logs are maintained and up to date | | | | - Ensure critical spare parts, spare parts for upcoming scheduled | | maintenance, and consumables are in place and reordered as necessary | | | | - Respond to emergency calls for maintenance. | | | | - Manage the set up and take down of different events. | | | | - Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues. | | | | - Communicate plans for upper level improvements to maintenance | | worker staff. | | | | - Contact and schedule repairmen and extra help as needed. | | | | - Perform administrative tasks as required. | | | | - Delegate tasks to meet maintenance schedule and satisfy | | employer need. | | | | - Approve equipment and part purchase requests. | | | | - Create and adhere to a maintenance program that optimizes scheduled | | downtime for attraction/equipment refurbishment for off-peak season | | and maximum up-time. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Master degree in facility management, Business, Engineering of related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
5-7 years technical and Trade experience
3-5 years of operations management/team leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGES
English & Spanish
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
· Ability to create a maintenance schedule, Ability to troubleshoot. Knowledge of attractions, structures or grounds to be maintained. Knowledge of maintenance procedures.
· Ability & willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays with short notice.
· Must have strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and PowerPoint.
· Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
