    Falcon’s is seeking an Assistant Controller who will assist with oversight of the integrity and accuracy of the financial records of our fast-growing multinational business.  This position will report to the Executive Vice President of Finance and will supervise accounting functions at our Orlando based headquarters.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • In partnership with the EVP of Finance, oversee all accounting functions including project accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.

    • Review data entry, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals and month-end close process.

    • Coordinate and maintain multi-national close calendar. Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting and timely consolidation, financial records and reports.

    • Work with functional managers to prepare and update budgets and forecasts

    • Coordinate preparation of monthly analysis of key cost drivers including project performance, labor variances and overhead spending variances.

    • Maintain and strengthen internal controls in compliance with Sox.

    • Drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations and collaborate with business partners to encourage a culture of continuous improvements.

    • Train, mentor, and develop a high performing team in support of current and future needs within the accounting function.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • 7+ years of proven experience with an in-depth working knowledge of USGAAP including project accounting and revenue recognition required.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred.

    • Ability and willingness to adapt quickly to changes in business conditions (e.g., acquisitions, mergers, divestitures).

    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; ERP system experience, BI systems and financial reporting systems experience preferred.

    • NetSuite experience a plus.

    • Familiarity with IFRS requirements desirable.

    • Highly organized, with attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
