Job Description

In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking an Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will assemble, install, test and maintain industrial electrical equipment, electronic wiring, appliances, apparatuses and fixtures. The position also requires using hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, as well as isolating defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment. Ideal candidates can perform work under general supervision and can handle moderately complex maintenance issues without guidance. A day in the office looks like this:

• Replacing faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems
• Dismantling electrical machinery and replacing defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures
• Mounting motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and completing circuits according to diagram specifications
• Performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Inspecting completed work for conformance to requirements of local building and safety codes
• Estimating time and material costs on electrical projects
• Requisitioning new electrical supplies and equipment

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Accreditation from technical school or an applicable skilled trades program
• 2-4 years of work experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or electrical schematics; possesses knowledge of the National Electric Code
• Ability to provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group if necessary
