An intern for Morrison Healthcare assists in the practices of financial management, budget control, analysis and reporting. The intern will work under a Morrison Healthcare finance director or manager, and will learn and follow financial trends and learn applicable skills for future work in the financial field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of the Atlanta Finance Department management.

• Collect, understand, process, verify and report finance data to manager

• Support professional analytical and management work assignments

• Assist in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports

• Develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases and other computer applications

• Manage specialized information, reports, forms, tracking of projects etc

• Finance interns are students of finance or accounting in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.

• Expertise in numbers and good math skills are very important

• The interns must have knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis

• Must be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form

• Should be capable of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation

• Should have good written and oral communication skills.

• Other skills required are related to problem solving, entering and verifying data, knowledge of computers, various software applications and standard office equipment.

• Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Access skills are preferred.
