POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: A Shift Leader is a critical component to the daily success of the restaurant. Part of our mission is to serve hearty and flavorful food, and it has to be done right! The shift lead is accountable to manage the front lines of our operation and standards must be exceeded to ensure we execute on our mission.

Shift leaders perform an array of job duties necessary to ACHIEVE RESTAURANT PROFITABILITY. Essential responsibilities include tracking sales, maintaining ideal inventory levels, and communicating with corporate officials. Shift leaders also assist in training new crew members, delegate daily crew positioning, create employee work schedules, resolve customer issues, and serve as crew members when necessary. Candidates should hold previous restaurant experience, preferably within a leadership or supervisory position. Related college degrees usually help applicants gain additional hiring consideration. The Firehouse Subs management team enjoys escalating pay scales based on job title and experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• At least two years of restaurant experience
• Candidates with previous leadership experience preferred
• Ability to lead a team of crew members
• Organized & driven to enhance work performance
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent menu and product knowledge
• Accountable for the preparation of the guest’s order
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and handle questions and concerns in a professional manner
• Thanks the guest sincerely for their business
• Participates in all Firehouse Subs® Public Safety Foundation fundraising initiatives
• Maintains an organized, stocked, and sanitary work space
• Able and willing to complete other restaurant functions such as cashier or cleaning, per management direction, or any other duties assigned by the general manager, assistant manager, or shift leader
• Maintains a safe work environment, adhering to all established food and safety guidelines
