Job Description
General Summary Of Duties:
Assist the Dispatch Manager in maintaining records, monitoring staff and equipment locations, handling interoffice and interdepartmental communication via radio, phones, and computers, monitoring and responding to life safety systems. Assist the Security Shift Manager or Supervisor in making Security Officers aware of security policies and procedures during calls for service.
Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
1. Use surveillance equipment to monitor the non-gaming areas of the property in regular intervals.
2. Operate radio, phone, and computer equipment to respond to and assign calls for service to available Security Officers within an acceptable time frame.
5. Respond to and operate the life safety system as alerts come in, regardless of severity, in real-time.
6. Divide the workload inside the Security Communication Center equitably and without the need for continuous oversight.
7. Complete a set of daily tasks ensuring continuity of operations inside the Security Communication Center without oversight.
8. Attend and participate in pre-shift briefings to receive instructions and information regarding internal property concerns.
Periodic Job Functions:
Assist in the completion of Lost & Found duties when that department cannot operate.
Qualifications
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information, follow written and verbal instructions, provide clear direction/guidance, and communicate with others.
SECURITY DISPATCHER:
Thorough knowledge of iTrak, HOTSOS, and LMS software systems
Thorough knowledge of Dallmeier Camera software & hardware
Ability to assess and respond to alerts on the United Life Safety System, regardless of severity or type
Ability to communicate ideas effectively orally and in writing
Ability to assist shift leadership institute rules firmly and fairly
Ability to communicate with all team members regardless of position or title
Remain a role model in providing superior guest service.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of three months of security experience on property or a minimum of one year in a casino security dispatch center with verifiable and positive professional references
Demonstrated proficiency using irak, HOTSOS, and LMS software
Education requirements
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Desirables:
DEMONSTRABLE TRACK RECORD SHOWING PROFICIENCY WITH ALL CASINO SECURITY-RELATED DISPATCH SOFTWARE, A PROVEN SUCCESSFUL HISTORY OF OPERATING A UNITED LIFE SAFETY SYSTEM OR A SYSTEM OF A SIMILAR TYPE, ABILITY TO TYPE A MINIMUM OF 45 WPM
