ICEO - J1 Culinary Internship Students Only Grand Sierra Resort partners with International Cultural Exchange - USA Work & Travel Program to increase mutual understanding between the people of the US and the people of foreign countries by means of educational and cultural exchanges. The purpose of this program is to provide foreign college and university students with opportunities to interact with U.S. citizens, experience U.S. culture while sharing their own cultures with Americans they meet, travel in the United States, and work in jobs that require minimal training and are seasonal or temporary in order to earn funds to help defray a portion of their expenses. Qualifications: Post-secondary school students enrolled in and actively pursuing a Culinary degree or other full-time course of study at an accredited classroom based, post-secondary educational institution outside the United States; Have successfully completed at least 1 year semester or equivalent of post-secondary academic study; and Pre-placed in a job prior to entry unless from a visa waiver country. Periodic Job Functions: In addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions to be determined by the supervisor based upon the particular needs of the Hotel.
