Field Technician Gulshan Management Services - Sugar Land, TX We are seeking a Field Technician to deliver quality and timely service to a group of quick service restaurants. The Field Technician will install POS and other IS&T equipment, trouble-shoot systems, diagnose problems, and ensure timely repairs of restaurant electronic equipment. The successful person for the position is a self-starter, with strong troubleshooting abilities and is able to travel daily, to the restaurants to support our equipment installation and repair needs. Responsibilities * Travel locally and regionally to perform installs and repairs at our restaurants. * Installations/ Repairs include PCs, peripherals, POS systems, routers, hubs, terminals/signature capturing devices, data cabling, access points, televisions, TV mounts, and camera systems. * Troubleshoot on-site restaurant equipment; identify and implement solutions to ensure timely repairs. * Maintain inventory control of IT equipment and systems at all assigned locations. * Manage daily schedule utilizing a ticketing system. * Implement and test system upgrades and, identify and implement enhancements. * Assist lead Technicians with restaurant remodels. * Assist in running wires to code and making repairs. * Must be able to troubleshoot Point of Sale and all other POS/ restaurant related equipment such as kitchen minder, order confirmation units, head sets, drive thru timers, menu boards and back office PCs. * Provide other project support as required. Required Education and Experience * 1-3 years of experience in an IT support role. * Intermediate knowledge of Windows operating systems and MS office. * Previous experience with software, hardware and peripheral installations. * Experience/ knowledge in installing low voltage wiring and making repairs. * Knowledge of POS retail experience is helpful but not required. * Experience in troubleshooting POS hardware and software is a plus. Additional Eligibility Qualifications * This position requires 95% travel in the field. Potential for night time installs and for overnight travel to provide support for restaurants in other markets. There is also a potential for emergency calls on the weekends or after hours. * Excellent Customer Service skills with ability to provide support to all level of users. * Ability to work independently and part of a team. * Strong technical skills with the ability to trouble shoot, diagnose and repair restaurant equipment. * Ability to work on ladders and rooftops to install camera system and TV systems. * Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. when moving, installing various computer/ electronic devices and peripherals. * Valid driving license and a good driving record with the ability to make own travel arrangements.
