    The Holiday Inn Fargo seeks a candidate that is passionate about the hospitality industry and looking to take a step into a career position inside a Sales and Marketing department. This is a full-time, hourly position and is eligible for the quarterly bonus program.

    Job duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Assist in booking groups, functions and handle follow ups

    Administrative duties such as typing, filing, packet making, file distribution, sending client invoices and other tasks as delegated

    Be the liaison between clients and all hotel departments

    Responsible for booking and detailing small (50 and under) catering events

    Responsible from start to finish booking and execution of wedding receptions (heavy training provided before going solo if necessary)

    Assist in handling new inquiries regarding sleeping rooms and or function space

    Be proficient in hotel's sales and or catering software systems

    Hands on promotional activities for clients including special in-house events, tradeshows and team outings

    Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends when needed

    Job shadowing for upward movement within hotel and management company

    Requirements

    Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook and Power Point

    Must be organized and detail oriented

    Must be confident to ‘ask for the sale’

    Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time

    Preference given to:

    Associates degree or higher in hospitality management or business-related fields

    Hotel, catering or sales experience helpful

    Experience with Opera and Delphi systems a plus

    Must be friendly, creative and energetic and above all, service oriented.
