Check your email regularly for information regarding our employment process. text It is the primary responsibility of the Casino Accounting Clerk to verify and document the accuracy of daily revenue, drop and payout information for each casino department. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures; also, with Gaming Control Board regulations. The Clerk Gaming Audit and Accounting is for each responsible process to perform all gaming compliance and audit functions for all of the Las Vegas Strip properties. Perform responsible project processes related to strategic objectives of the Financial Shared Services Center division. The Clerk will perform the audit steps ensuring compliance with MGM Resorts International policies and procedures, SOX, gaming regulations and Internal Control requirements for their responsible process. As workloads require it will be the responsibility of the Casino Accounting Clerk to generate clear and legible scanned images into the Perceptive system workflow for the audit and accounting processes. Ensure documents are scanned in a timely manner and accurately. Work with sensitive material and must be able to maintain confidentiality. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures. * Maintain GCB Compliance for all properties within area of responsibility. * Prepare and complete daily audits. * Prepare Exceptions Reports for non-compliance issues related to the Nevada Minimum Internal Controls Standards (MICS). * Compile and maintain historical data. * Communicate problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner. * Generate summary reports. * Accounting records and practices adhere to MGM Resorts International Operations accounting policies and remain standard across all business units. * Promote, develop and maintain effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationship with internal customers, including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met. * To promote an effective relationship between the department, the business unit, other corporate departments and to ensure effective operational processes. * Sort and prepare documents for scanning, removing staples, paperclips and rubber bands and unfolding, straightening and combining forms as needed. * Indexes each employee record document in the Perceptive scanning system, which includes, but is not limited to: verify that images are correct, legible and accounted for. * Responsible for organization and filing of documents to be scanned. * Must have the ability to prioritize based on urgency. * Ability to work independently.

    • Ability to work through high volume and stressful time periods. * Maintain manual dexterity to access scanner and computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment such as a copier. * Attention to detail. * Promote, develop and maintain effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationship with internal customers, including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met. * To promote an effective relationship between the department, the business unit, other corporate departments and to ensure effective operational processes. * Perform all other job related duties as requested. Required: * At least 1 year of casino/hotel specific accounting/audit experience and/or equivalent. * Previous experience with revenue accounting for Slots, Table Games, Race amp; Sports, Poker and Keno areas. * Previous experience in a Casino/Hotel environment in an auditing or finance area. * Ability to guide design and strategy for use of electronic system tools to improve process, mine data, extract and report data. * Ability to understand change management. * Working knowledge of Minimum Internal Control Standards. * Working knowledge NGCB regulations. * Good communication skills and demonstrate ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner. * Good written, verbal and public presentation communication skills. * Have initiative, strive for continuous improvement. * Strong team player that has a direct approach and is solution oriented. * Excellent customer service skills.
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. * Professional appearance and demeanor. * Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. * High School diploma or equivalent. * Able to effectively communicate and present in English, in both written and oral forms. Preferred: * Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent. * At least 1 year of accounting/audit experience. * Previous Knowledge and experience with MGM Resorts International gaming and financial systems (Tandem, CMS, Machine Accounting, CBS, Bravo Poker, XpertX, MLife, Infinium, Showcase Strategy, Cognos Finance,). * Previous experience working in a similar casino resort or Financial Shared Services Center setting.
