    STNA in TrainingJob ID 2019-4557Category NursingLocation US-OH-Lebanon Overview The Nursing Assistant Training Class is a partnership between an Accredited Local School and Otterbein to train individuals desiring to enter the healthcare profession as a nursing assistant and full-time employee of Otterbein. Participants must then be able to attend a 75-hour training course to be conducted at Greentree Health Academy. Students must be able to attend all days of class and clinical training. Date and time of training class to be determined. Students will receive free books, uniforms, and training materials. The application fee and Ohio state test fee is included in the course and provided at no charge to participants; retests are the responsibility of the student. After satisfactory completion of the course, participants will transition to a skilled nursing neighborhood assignment with Otterbein at the STNA starting wage. Nursing Assistants will provide direct resident care in activities of daily living, make and report significant observations, and assist in assuring resident and work place safety. Responsibilities After completion of the class, a Nursing Assistant will complete job responsibilities including:Provides direct resident care according to the Plan of Care, and state, facility, and department policies, procedures, and guidelines.Lifts, transfers, transports, and positions resident, equipment, and supplies safely according to guidelines and Plan of Care.Provides and documents restorative care as indicated on the Plan of Care.Observes, measures, documents, and communicates significant information and observations to appropriate personnel.Ensures the resident rooms, the work place, equipment, and supplies are neat, clean, safe and utilized appropriately at all times.Arrives and carries out work in a timely responsible manner to help ensure uninterrupted quality care.Provides caring, understanding, and support for the psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents and their families. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to satisfactorily pass Warren County Career Center Work Keys Assessment or provide evidence of satisfactory Work Keys scores within the last 5 years from an accredited school.Licensure/Certification: None. Must be able to pass state test within 4 months of completion date of class.Experience/Qualifications: One year continuous employment in a healthcare-related or customer service related position preferred. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
