PAR TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION has an opportunity available for Software Engineer Interns to join its Software Engineering Department located in Boca Raton, FL. PAR Technology is the parent Company for three wholly owned business units providing systems and services for both government and hospitality sectors. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Software Engineer Intern will contribute as a member of the software engineering team. The position leverages communication skills, analytic ability, general programming skills, and provides a significant challenge in terms of technical content. This position offers a view of the entire product development life cycle and leads to cross-functional experience of an enterprise-grade commercial product including development, testing and deployment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -Develop, maintain and support the companys software products. -Participate in the Agile development process to assist in the design, development and testing of software solutions. -Takes direction from Senior Engineers and/or Project Managers. -Works with other ParTech departments to define and develop appropriate technology solutions and processes -Develop QA automated tests -Assist with development of support tools -Attend and actively participate in daily project status meetings KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: -Be in good standing in an engineering, math, or science program -Object Oriented Design and Programming (OOD/P) experience or understanding -Experience with C#, C++ or Java -Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) experience or understanding -Some knowledge of the Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) JUDGMENT/ANALYTICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: -Work is performed within authorized limits prescribed by supervisor and/or policy.
