The work of a Mail Service Clerk includes working in an industrial environment, loading and unloading of cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft; the transporting of mail between terminals and aircraft; the mail clerks transfers mail where required; the receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material. The role also requires the sorting and building of mail and packages weighing up to 70 pounds and building into ULD's. Mail Clerks may be assigned to perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment. May be assigned to operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, company vehicles. Mail clerks may be assigned to assist in monitoring the security of the facility as well as comply with WFS site security procedures for designated warehouses and other operations. Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors' activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.
