Responsible for the inventory and logistics function of warehouse and storage facilities.

Job duties:

Manages warehouse/shipping personnel

Develops and implements material control procedures and policies

Maintains a safe working environment thru warehouse and forklift safety programs that conform to OSHA, local, and state regulations

Ensures a clean and organized warehouse and material staging areas

Serves as the expert in RF Scanning and ERP warehouse management solutions

Leads warehouse/shipping continuous improvement projects and participate as a member of plant continuous improvement projects.

Coordinate with cross-functional operation teams to develop strategy for production planning to support demands.

Controls inventory levels by conducting periodical physical cycle counts and reconciling with inventory system.

Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Provides coaching, disciplining, and performance appraisals to employees.

Strong knowledge of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyzes their trends, identifies assignable causes, and provides corrective actions.

Good written and oral communication skills

Education, Training, & Experience

Bachelor preferred

APICS certification preferred, but not mandatory

Supervisory training required, management training preferred

Forklift/ Warehouse safety training required, Certification preferred

Certification in material handling, warehouse management, or other industry recognized related area is preferred

5 plus years of exempt level supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment is required, 5 plus years is preferred.

5 plus years of management experience is preferred
